'Theatre of the Oppressed' was developed by Augusto Boal in the 1960's in Brazil with the goal of empowering people and communities to deal with local problems including poverty, racism and illiteracy.  Theatrical techniques such as role-play and creative games are used to excplore solutions using a theatrical dialogue.

Long Grass Theatre is staging three evening introductory sessions for people who just want a taste of this type of theatre. This wil be followed by a  two day workshop for people who decide that they are ready to take a bite.
