Join printmakers Mel Newby, Bry McVicar and Meli Rodriguez in this gel plate printing workshop exploring monoprinting with botanicals.
Gel plate printing is an accessible, fun way to create one-of-a-kind monoprints without the use of a printing press.
This workshop will utilise silicone gel plates, acrylic paint and found botanicals to create a series of vibrant monoprints, and will culminate in a free-form play session exploring techniques such as masking and multi-layered registrations.
The workshop is suitable for all ages and abilities. No previous print or art-making experience required.
All materials will be provided but we invite you to collect your own botanicals: flat leaves and grasses of varying shape, size and texture work really well.
