Comic Book Workshop

Wild North Comics editors Jonathon Saunders and Timothy Parish will host a workshop on the art of making a comic book at Radio Gnome Records as part of the closing weekend of the Wild North Comics exhibition.

This is a workshop for both artists and writers interested in exploring the comic book medium and will focus on the history, techniques and software that can help you bring your ideas to life on the page.

About the artists:
Jonathon Saunders is an artist, illustrator, writer and animator. He is the creator of Astounding Tales of Hero-Fiction a web comic that was adapted into the animated web-series Zero-Point ( He is the co-editor of @Wild North Comics and brings a wealth of experience in the craft of telling stories through the comic art form and will focus on the visual language of the medium.

Timothy Parish is an artist, writer and filmmaker and founder of Undergrowth Productions ( Parish’s award-winning short films, documentaries and music videos have screened around Australia and internationally including Flickerfest International Short Film Festival. Tim will focus on the process of developing your story ideas into a full narrative, the comic script format and software you can use to achieve this.
