Fist Full of Films Festival – ENTRIES OPEN NOW
Fist Full of Films is the Northern Territory’s original homegrown short film festival. Founded in 1999 to celebrate NT short films in all genres, the Festival has a rich history of giving many of the Territory’s leading filmmaker’s their first break. The aim of the Festival is to encourage and support NT filmmakers from diverse backgrounds to create and share screen work.
After a 5 year hiatus, Darwin Community Arts has decided to support the re-establishment of Fist Full of Films. This year the film festival includes a competition, workshop program and film screenings. The workshop program provides an opportunity for emerging filmmakers to build networks, get inspired, gain skills and experience. The popular film screenings and Awards ceremony offers audiences the chance to watch NT created screen content, engage with local stories and themes and acknowledge the talent that we have in the Territory.
We have $10,000 worth of prizes to be won in different categories including youth, mobile filmmaking, drone, experimental art, documentary, music video and more.
Check out the Fist Full of Films Festival website for more information about the prize categories and to submit your film entry via Film Freeway!
