From 23 October – 1 November Darwin Community Arts (UNTiTLED gallery+studio) are hosting three artists Ika, Adi and Dewa (and Dwymabim and Zolaa to exhibit works but not attend) from Indonesia (Bail). Together we plan to create long-term collaborations in the form of artist exchanges and residencies between Indonesia and Australia.

Lino cut workshops (you are invited to attend one or both)
Saturday 28 October | 9am – 12pm
Sunday 29 October | 9am – 12pm
UNTiTLED gallery+studio 3/1 Caryota Court, Coconut Grove
$25 per session

Join artist Dewa for an immersive and engaging linocut printing workshop that will introduce you to the captivating world of printmaking. In this hands-on session, you’ll explore the fundamentals of linocut art and create your own unique prints.

The workshop will also explore Balinese ornaments the artists explore and their relation with natural elements, such as seeds, and endangered plants, to also invite food sovereignty dialogue through arts.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a series of unique, hand-pulled linocut prints to take home. This workshop encourages artistic exploration, creativity, and a deeper appreciation for the art of printmaking. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or a complete beginner, you’ll leave with a newfound skill and a set of prints to be proud of.

Materials and tools needed for the workshop will be provided, but feel free to bring your design ideas for inspiration. Don’t miss the opportunity to delve into the world of linocut printing and unleash your artistic potential.
