Following the inaugural Memento exhibition in 2021, these seven NT artists (Sonia Martignon, Ingrid Gersmanis, Sandra Kendell, Kate Fernyhough, Marlene Kranz, Marita Albers and Linda Joy) are teaming up again for Memento 22: A Journey. They use small-scale work to address the human obsession of acquiring and creating precious keepsakes. Examining the notion of a journey. Reflecting on what a journey means to them, connecting their individual memories and moments, establishing our desire to seek new experiences, whether they be physical, emotional, or vicariously through the observations of others.
