Fridays, 27th October  – 17 November| 1-4pm
Mudul-ma Community Art Room, DCA
2/1 Travers Street, Coconut Grove

Every Friday from 1.00 pm to 4.00 pm our Mudul-ma Community Art Room at DCA will be open for you to bring in a creative project you are working on or start a new one.

You are welcome to work self-directed or if you would like some more support, our facilitator Nel will be available. She has a broad range of experience with a particular passion for textile art.

Each month we also offer a new guided activity. This four week block begins on the 27th of October with embroidered, felt decorations. Nel (Penelope Anne Johnson) will demonstrate the skills you need to get started and we will provide the materials. We will be using the two patterns pictured. You can customise them with colour and design features to match your favourite tropical bird or fruit.

What to bring

If you wish to do your own self-directed activity bring along your materials. If you are participate in our guided activity just bring yourself.

Who is it for

DCA is a welcoming space for all sexualities, neurotypes, genders, identities and cultures. If there are things we can do to help make these sessions more accessible for you please let us know via email: venues@darwincommunityarts.org.au

These sessions are aimed at adults. Children under the age of 15 need to be accompanied and supervised by an adult.

Booking

The embroidered felt sessions are by donation to help us cover the cost of materials. A $5 donation is recommended or whatever you can afford. Please book your spot so that we know how many people to expect.

If you are doing your own self-directed practise the sessions are FREE and you don’t need to book.

Getting here

Parking is available in the car park out the front and on the street. We are on the number 4 bus route, Darwin to Casuarina.

Our new name
