This workshop is proudly presented by MusicNT and Darwin Community Arts as part of the Fist Full of Films Festival.
Join visiting videographer and artist, Day Know from Que films in Brisbane. Day Know is up in Darwin filming his next video and we are lucky enough to have him to share his work, creative process and give us some tips and inspiration for making a music video.
About Day Know
Que Film had humble beginnings 5 years ago by videographer David (Day) Fischer as a means to create music video content for a growing music scene in Brisbane, particularly within the Hip Hop landscape. Day’s style was rough and still wildly experimental and yet he strived to form a combination of clean yet unorthodox content. Within those 5 years Que Film had worked with some of Australia’s top up-and-coming artists such as Camouflage Rose, Erik Sanders, Order Sixty6, Jesswar and Miss Blanks.
By networking with like-minded creatives in diverse backgrounds Que Film expanded from the music video realm and began working in the corporate and commercial space. This led to a keen interest in working on projects within the community. By collaborating with and highlighting stories from different ethnic backgrounds Que Film quickly found the importance of visual representation for all people in Australia.
From working with Indigenous school programs such as Kummara’s ‘Learning to Grow’ campaign or highlighting Asian culture in ‘BrisAsia 2019’, to championing various ethnic diversities with collaborator ‘Voices of Colour’, Que Films’ mission statement has been to aid and present the diverse culture of Australia through the lens of a video camera.
Due to limited capacity please book your spot for this event.
