‘Through Our Eyes’
‘Through Our Eyes’
Storytelling is the most universal form of human expression. Societies use stories to encode complex information and it is passed from generation to generation. This project aims to explore these complexities through experimental ways and diverse art forms.
There is something about communicating visually that is incredibly powerful. Art education is important because it promotes creative problem solving, communication and empathy, cultural awareness and ultimately confidence. Stories are a way o tell people who we are, to establish connection and create filtering through our own views and thoughts.
‘Through Our Eyes’ is a project through the Flesh Program at Darwin Community Arts where abstract and exploratory ways of telling stories are meaningfully shared to give a sensory and psychological experience of another in whatever form that takes.
