My Sisters' Kitchen

My Sisters' Kitchen (MSK) was a weekly Darwin Community Arts project where women and children from all backgrounds are welcome to participate in arts and cooking activities and share stories, recipes and food, skills and experiences. In 2014 MSK participants look forward to trying their hand at sewing, screen printing, painting, cooking new and exciting cuisines and above all, enjoying shared experiences with the many familiar and new faces which make up the My Sisters' Kitchen family. Funding for these activities by the Department of Social Services ceased on February 2015. The art and craft activities initiated at My Sisters' Kitchen will continue as "Our Common Threads" in 2015.

MSK is now a social enterprise providing catering to communities in Darwin. It operates the mobile kitchen (a converted caravan) that was called Culture Cafe in 2014.
