Attached is the flyer for the Annual African Dinner Dance, the biggest African Party of the year in the NT, to be held on Saturday the 7th August 2010 at the Cyprus Club in Marrara from 7pm till late.
This is usually a great event attended by up to 500 people. I am helping to coordinate a number of women from across the African communities in Darwin to do cooking for the event. The menu is looking good with food from Somalia, Zimbabwe, Congo, Burundi and Sudan.
There will also be a range of performers from African background and a newly formed Brasilian Samba Ensemble have been asked to perform! After performances the DJ’S kick in with a range of music from across the African continent to boogie into the early hours of the morning to.
