CemeNTmix theatre show raised hepatitis awareness

At July Community Dinner, CemeNTmix, DCA youth theatre group, presented its short play to pay tribute to the World Hepatitis Day and spread more awareness about hepatitis and testing.

The Community Dinner in May attracted a big crowd of 200 people including NT Attorney-General John Elferink and local MLAs Delia Lawrie and Peter Styles. CREATE Foundation presented 'The Power Within' - a photographic e-exhibition of 24 young people with an out of home care experience.

Meeting regarding Chi Suwichan's visit to Darwin

Cherry Lin, B. Brown, Sandar Tun and Bong Ramilo met on 10 April 2014 to discuss a possible visit to Darwin by Chi Suwichan, a Karen artist, musician, and educator based in Thailand. Cherry and Brown are from the Karen community in Darwin and have agreed to help organise Chi's visit from 25 May.

Project 21 Digital Storytelling

DCA, through its Frontline and Arts Access Darwin projects, worked with six artists of Project 21 to produce digital stories in the first term of 2014. The workshops were a continuation on digital photography workshops also facilitated by DCA in the last term of 2013.
